Phil Lynott statue was placed on a side street off Grafton Street in Dublin in August 2005. Dublin’s late Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott’s life size bronze statue was set up where his fans, friends, band mates, and mother gathered to celebrate his life. Phil was from Dublin and after the International success with Thin Lizzy, died in 1986 at age 36.
I’m a fan of Thin Lizzy, and when I saw Phil’s statue, I was very happy to see that people in Dublin hadn’t forgot about him. The statue is placed so that he’s looking at the people walking by on busy Grafton street. I heard that his body rests in the cemetery in Howth, a short train or bus ride from Dublin.
