National Museum of Ireland, Archeology and History – Dublin, Ireland

National Museum of Ireland in Dublin National Museum of Ireland has 4 departments, 3 of which are located in Dublin, Archeology and History, Decorative Arts and History, and Natural History. The National Museum of Ireland – Country Life is in Co. Mayo. All four museums offer great information with artifacts and displays, but if you don’t have time to visit all of them, I highly recommend that you visit the Archeology and History museum.

National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology and History has all of the archaeological items found in Ireland between 7000BC and late Medieval period. The exhibition displays the objects from over 2 million items in its collection, and is a great way to learn the rich history of Ireland.

In addition to the exhibition, when you visit the museum, you’ll notice tall columns at the great entrance of the museum building. The columns are 18 meters (54 feet) high and made of Irish marble.

Guided tour is available, which lasts about 45 minutes. (2 euro)

The museum is easy to get to as it’s located in Dublin’s city center near National Gallery, Grafton Street, and Trinity College.
