Dublin Ghost Bus Tour leaves from O’Connell street and takes you to some of the spooky places in Dublin. It’s a guided tour and takes about 2.5 hours. I’m sure there are several guides, but our guide was such an actor and a great fun.
I’ve been to Dublin for many times, and was running out of the things to do (sure, you can always hit the pub, and there’s no end to that… lol) and decided to give it a try when I was there in August 2007. If you want to make sure to get on the tour, you should buy a ticket (25euro) at the ticket office on upper O’Connell street. I didn’t. (I wanted to, but the ticket office was already closed when I went there.) So, I had to wait for everyone with a ticket to get on to make sure there’s any seats left. Luckily there were a few, so I got on!
Everyone sits upstairs, where a guide gives us some interesting stories as we move from one location to another. As I walk up stairs, someone (a guide) grabbed my ankle to scare me. Right… this is a “ghost” tour. Uoooooo, I’m scared. They took us to the Kevin’s Park to see some old graves, an old gate on the medieval wall, etc. You get to see parts of Dublin that you would probably never even imagine to visit on your own, so that was good.
