Poulnabrone Dolmen – Co. Clare, Ireland

Poulnabrone Dolmen, Co Clare, Ireland The famous Poulnabrone Dolmen is located in the Burren in Co Clare in West of Ireland. As you can see in photo, it’s formed by large stones dating back to the Neolithic period, between 4200BC to 2900BC, believed to be prehistoric religious site, perhaps a tomb. This Dolmen is made with several large size slab stones. The top of the stone is about 6 ft high from the ground. There are smaller stones placed around the Dolmen.

There are many prehistoric sites in the Burren. Poulnabrone Dolmen is located between Cliffs of Moher and the Aillwee Cave in Co Clare in Ireland.
