Driving Antrim Coast in Norhtern Ireland

Causeway Coast, Antrim, Northern Ireland The Causeway Coast runs through the Antrim Co. in Northern Ireland, and it’s one of the most beautiful coast lines in Ireland. If you travel to Northern Ireland, I highly recommend that you rent a car and enjoy the drive through this beautiful Causeway Coast (Antrim Coast) line. We started from Belfast, and it was an easy day trip back to the city, though two days would’ve been better as we could spend more time at each location.

From Belfast, we went to Carrickfergus, and went up North to Larne, Cushandall, then to Ballycastle. Though these towns are not major tourist destinations, you are treated by beautiful scenery of the coast line. As you approach to the Ballycastle, you start to see Scotland on the other side of the North Channel.

From Ballycastle, you can head out to famous Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Old Bushmills Distillery.

We made lots of stops on the way to these locations, and enjoyed the view as much as we enjoyed the famous tourist locations. I hope you get lucky with the weather as we did.
