The famous Poulnabrone Dolmen is located in the Burren in Co Clare in West of Ireland. As you can see in photo, it’s formed by large stones dating back to the Neolithic period, between 4200BC to 2900BC, believed to be prehistoric religious site, perhaps a tomb. This Dolmen is made with several large size slab stones. The top of the stone is about 6 ft high from the ground. There are smaller stones placed around the Dolmen. [click to continue…]

Cliffs of Moher is one of the popular tourist destinations in Ireland. It’s located in Co Clare facing the Atlantic ocean. Cliffs of Moher stands 650 ft above water and extending 5 miles long. The visitors can walk the path up and down to Hag’s Head in south side and to O’Brien’s Tower in north side. The O’Brien’s Tower is a viewing point built for Victorian tourists. You can go up the tower (fee) for a better view. New Cliffs of Moher visitor center is located near the entrance. There are cafeterias, shops, and exhibition called “Atlantic Edge” (fee).
